Core Privacy Philosophy: Offline & Local-First Encove is designed with privacy at its core: No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, register, or provide your name, phone number, or email address to use Encove. Local On-Device Storage: Your custom sound mixes, volume levels, timer settings, favorite tracks, and sleep chronotype quiz results are stored strictly on your local device (via Android private app storage / DataStore). This data is never uploaded to, transmitted, or hosted on remote servers. No Sensitive Permissions: We do not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, or file storage. 2. Information We Collect Automatically To maintain application stability, provide audio streaming functionality, and support our free tier, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs that may automatically collect limited technical and diagnostic data: A. Device Identifiers & Advertising (Free Tier) Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): The free version of Encove displays non-intrusive advertisements to help support continued development. Google AdMob may collect and process your device's Google Advertising ID (AAID), coarse IP address, and interaction data to serve relevant ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance. Encove Plus & Pro Subscribers: If you purchase an Encove Plus or Encove Pro subscription, advertising SDKs are disabled or silenced, and ad-related identifiers are not used for serving advertisements. B. Diagnostics & Crash Reporting Firebase Crashlytics & Google Play Vitals: To ensure optimal playback performance and quickly resolve crashes or audio glitches, we collect anonymous diagnostic logs, device model, operating system version, and stack traces at the time of an error. This information contains no personally identifiable information. C. In-App Purchases & Financial Information Google Play In-App Billing: When you upgrade to Encove Plus or Encove Pro, transactions are processed directly and securely by Google Play Billing (Google LLC). Encove never receives, processes, or stores your credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. We only receive a cryptographic receipt token confirming whether your subscription is active. 3. Deleting Local App Data Because all your sound preferences, favorites, and quiz results are stored locally, you can permanently delete all local data by: Going to Settings > Apps > Encove > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage, OR Simply uninstalling the application from your device. 6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance) Encove is designed for general audiences seeking mindfulness, focus, and restful sleep. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or share personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you believe a child has provided personal information to third-party services through our app, please contact us immediately so we can assist in removing it. 7. Data Security We prioritize safeguarding any data processed through our application.
